제목 Transparent and Flexible Polymer Nanocomposite Reinforced by 3D Continuous Ceramic Nanofiller with Enhanced Heat Dissipation
초록 Polymer nanocomposites reinforced by nanofillers have strengthening effects, but the dispersion of such nanofillers into a polymer matrix frequently causes aggregation which restricts high loading (>5 vol%) of nanofillers into the matrix. Here, we propose a new type of polymer nanocomposites with three-dimensionally (3D) continuous ceramic nanofillers, allowing extremely high loading (>15 vol %) of nanofillers into the matrix without a concern of aggregation. The inserted 3D continuous Al2O3 in the epoxy matrix with optimized conditions (compression: 84nm, 19vol%, tension: 36nm, 9vol%) simultaneously enhances the compressive strength and the tensile strength as high as 142% and 53%, respectively, compared to pristine epoxy. The resultant nanocomposite shows the superb transparency over entire visible and near-IR regions (>91% at 800nm) and the enhanced heat dissipation overcoming an epoxy nanocomposite reinforced by Al2O3 nanoparticles with identical volume ratio.
