The oxygen demand for everyday life and industry is increasing continuously. Especially, the use of low purity oxygen is in the limelight recently. However, the object of most commercialized PSA processes which separate oxygen from air have been focused to produce a high purity oxygen. This experiment was performed to obtain the optimal process conditions in producing oxygen from air using pressure swing adsorption including pressure equalization. The influences of pressure equalization step duration, pressurization step duration, and adsorption step duration were investigated. The optimum operating conditions were observed for given oxygen purity. |
