초록 | Liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs) are capable of storing H2 withg ravimetric storage densities of 6–8 wt.% for a long term at ambient temperature and pressure. Another key benefit of LOHCs is utilizing petroleum production and transport infrastructure already in place. The judicious selection of the appropriate LOHC candidates is very important under a standardized test protocol for a fair comparison. In this contribution, dehydrogenation characteristics of different homocyclic LOHCs are studied in a high-throughput screening system. Four homocyclic LOHCs, such as methylcyclohexane,hydrogenated biphenyl-based eutectic mixtures, perhydro-monobenzyltoluene, and perhydro-dibenzyltoluene, are dehydrogenated using a heterogeneous platinum catalyst. We additionally present materials and chemical analyses on catalysts,physicochemical properties of LOHCs, energy-economic analyses. |
