제목 | Efficacy of visible light-cured glycol chitosan hydrogels containing inclusion complex between beta-cyclodextrin and curcumin on accelerated wound healing |
초록 | In the present study, visible light-cured glycol chitosan (GC) hydrogel systems containing inclusion complex between beta-cyclodextrin (ß-CD) and curcumin (CUR) for the sustained release of CUR were prepared, and their efficacies in wound healing acceleration were investigated in vivo. The in vivo wound healing efficacies of the hydrogels were extensively investigated using a mouse excisional wound model. A decrease in the macroscopic appearances was observed on the wounds treated with ß-CD-ic-CUR/GC, as compared to untreated or CUR/GC-treated wounds. Also, ß-CD-ic-CUR/GC-treated wound showed increased collagen synthesis. These results provide evidence that improving the water-solubility of CUR contributes to acceleration of wound healing.
