제목 Study of dexamethasone loaded biodegradable PLLA-PDObiphasic monofilament for nonvascular stent application.​
초록 Biodegradable polymeric filaments were recognizedfor usage in biomedical applications. However, problems such as inflammationand mechanical properties are still remaining. In our recent study, poly(L-lactide)-polydioxanone(PLLA-PDO) core-sheath monofilaments have been developed and characterized. Inthis research, dexamethasone (DEX) widely known drug for anti-inflammatorytraits were loaded to PLLA-PDO core-sheath monofilaments. Mechanicalproperties, biodegradability, and the drug release were investigated. Improvementof mechanical properties in the degradation process were shown due to thebiphasic structure of monofilaments and biodegradation of monofilaments couldbe controlled by biphasic structure and drawing process. Drug release ofPLLA-PDO monofilaments showed sustain or controlled manners by location of drugand drawing rates. To sum up, our drug-eluting sheath-core monofilaments arepromising model for advanced nonvascular stents.
