제목 Surface Modification of Gd2O3 Nanoparticles with Poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) for MRI Active Gd-NCT
초록 We prepared monodisperse and nano-sized Gd2O3 nanoparticles by using polyol protocol to control the size and particle properties. These Gd2O3 nanoparticles have some characteristics for a potential application like a cancer diagnosis and therapy. The prepared Gd2O3 nanoparticles were coated with hydrophilic poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) to enhance the properties (e.g. long circulation in the blood and reduced toxicity) as a MRI active Gd-NCT agent. Effects of hydrophilic PHEMA on the water-solubility in vitro and enhanced residence time in vivo were extensively investigated.
