제목 The characterization of asymmetric fan-shaped dendrimer
초록 Molecular conformation and orientation of dendrimer of 4-(10-(4-(3,5-bis(3,5-bis(3,5-bis(benzyloxy)benzyloxy)benzyloxy)benzyloxy)phenyl)anthracen-9-yl)benzoic acid ([G3-An]-COOH) was investigated by Langmuir-Blodgett technique. G3 contains a hydrophilic COOH core group and three generations of hydrophobic aryl ether tail groups. Monolayer of G3 has been studied at the air/water interface. G3 was spread on the pure water surface and the aqueous subphase containing Eu(Ⅲ) ions for checking to bind with G3. Isotherm of G3 shows that branches are folded and standing according to the generation order. In the case of the Eu(Ⅲ)Cl3 subphase, circular aggregates were observed for the monolayer LB film of G3. This is the proof of binding with G3 and Eu(Ⅲ). To understand self-assembling mechanism, we investigated morphology studies of monolayer transferred onto hydrophilic Si-substrate by using Ellipsometry and Atomic Force Microscope (AFM).
