제목 Effect of reducing toxicity of nanoplastics using jellyfish environmental stress-resisting substances
초록 As the production and use of plastics continue to increase, the amount of plastic waste emitted to the environment is also increasing rapidly. Plastics released into the environment are decomposed into micro or nano sizes through processes such as abrasion and photolysis. This study evaluated the ecotoxicity of nanoplastics in the environment through zebrafish embryogenesis. In addition, as a method to reduce the toxicity of nanoplastics, Aurelia aurita, a species most commonly found among jellyfish appearing a lot off the coast of Korea, was used. We propose a method to reduce the toxicity of nanoplastics by collecting nanoplastics through mucin extracted from jellyfish.
