제목 | Shape-controlled Pt based electrocatalysts for low temperature fuel cell reactions |
초록 | Recent studies on nanotechnology have revealed that morphology of nanocrystals directly affects the chemical reactivity, because morphology determines the bounding facets of nanoparticles as well as the density of edge and kink sites. Design and synthesis of Pt nanocrystals offer advantages for control of the active sites, enabling to maximize catalytic activity of nanocrystals. Among the various structures, branched structures have attracted great interest owing to their high surface area combined with well-defined facets with rough surfaces. Herein, we developed a synthetic route to Pt branched structures with controllable shape, size, and composition. In the synthesis, shape-directing agents play critical role in control over shape, size, and composition of branched structure. Pd-Pt branched structures were tested as electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction and formic acid oxidation reaction. |
