Catalytic dehydrogenation of propane to propene is important for the production of high-value chemical intermediates. Phosphorus has been suggested as an effective dopant for high olefin selectivity. To elucidate the promotion effect of P and its role during the reaction, 1Pt-αP/SiO2 (α=0.2~3, wt %) were prepared by wet impregnation. The catalytic properties of the catalysts were investigated by XANES, C3H8-TPRS, and CO DRIFT. We found that the formation of PtP2 alloy greatly improves propene selectivity by suppressing cracking activation. |
