Light-emitting polymers containing side-chain or main-chain carbazole units were synthesized by palladium catalyzed polycondensation of aniline with four different monomers such as N-(2-ethylhexyl)-3,6-dibromo-carbazole, 3,6-dibromocarbazole, N-[4-(2-ethylhexyloxyl)-3,5-dibromomethylene-phenyl]-carbazole and N-(3,5-dibromomethylene-phenyl)-carbazole, respectively. It is expected from the polymer structures that these polymers have both blue emitting and good hole-transporting properties. Results on effect of polymer structures on electroluminescent properties will be presented. |
