In this study, we developed the functional powder complex for cosmetic use, accomplished by fine and homogeneous encapsulation of nanosize TiO2, which has highly efficient UV-screening property, on the inside of silica through hydrolysis of titanium alkoxide. Particle size of TiO2 could be controlled by the variation of pore size of silica. By controlling the pore size of silica, various sized TiO2 was coated finely and homogeneously inside of silica. The obtained complex powder, the functional powder complex for cosmetic use, overcomes such problems as deterioration of transparency, rough skin feeling, rub-out property and reduction of UV-shielding efficiency. |
