Hydrophilization of PMMA using concentration gradient treatment |
| 초록 |
PMMA is a biopolymer used as bone cement. The surface property of PMMA displays fairly hydrophobic nature. In order to modify the surface property of PMMA, concentration gradient method was utilized. The PMMA films were treated while varying alkaline concentration and treatment duration. The variation of physicochemical properties of the PMMA surface was examined using different analytic method. The chemical state of the modified PMMA surface was examined using attenuated total refection-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR). The surface hydrophilicity was determined using contact angle measurements. |
