To date, Non-fullerene organic solar cells (NFOSCs) displaying high performance are fabricated by solution process. And the most commonly used solvents for active layer deposition are based on halogenated organic compounds, such as chloroform, chlorobenzene. But, there exist serious concerns over their adverse impact on human health. In this regard, there is a need to look for more nonhazardous alternatives for maintaining a safe environment. Even though extensive efforts have been devoted to find replacements for halogenated solvents, a very limited progress has been made so far because of the selective solubility of the donor/acceptor components. In this study, we introduce fluorine and alkyl chains simultaneously to donor polymer to achieve good oxidation stability and high solubility. When donor polymer introduced in the active layer, the performance and stability of fabricated devices were enhanced. |
