Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) have been made to explore potential applications due to advantage of solution processability and ease of fabrication. However, the recombination of electrons and holes is a major loss mechanism in photovoltaic devices that can affect their performance. By introducing an interlayer to modify interfacial characteristic, it is possible to alleviate unbalanced carrier mobility and reduce carrier recombination. In this study, OPVs were fabricated with interlayer material of three types including PFN that commercial interlayer material via solution process. As a result, carrier recombination was reduced and performance was enhanced in the device fabricated with our interlayer rather than that case of PFN. |
