Improvement of biofunctionality of chitosan-incorporated collagen matrix. |
초록 |
Natural polymers are highly biocompatible and can be used as biomaterials for the regeneration of soft and hard tissues. Collagen is one of the most widely used naturally derived polymers since it has cell adhesion moiety and can promote cellular activity. In this study, we incorporated chitosan into collagen matrix at different ratios of collagen to chitosan in order to improve cell proliferation. The matrix was physically stabilized via chemical cross-linking. The effects of chitosan incorporation on the physicochemical properties of the matrix, including the water uptake, degradation rate, and geometrical appearance, were evaluated. In vitro assessments on fibroblast adhesion and proliferation were performed. |
