Synthesis and characterization of Orange iridium (III) complexes for solution processable organic light-emitting diodes |
초록 |
White organic light-emitting diodes (WOLEDs) based on various emitters are applied as display backlights, in full color displays, and for solid-state lighting purposes. The fabrication of device was usually carried out by vacuum process which has high fabrication cost and a lot of material consumption. Therefore, the solution fabrication of emitting materials and transporting materials is in great demand for low-cost, large-area production of OLEDs. The most common types of WOLEDs can be composed by mixing either three colour (red, green and blue) or two colour (blue and orange). Although orange emitters have been widely used for smaller vacuum-deposited two emitting-component WOLEDs, large area displays and lighting require solution-processed WOLEDs. We have successfully synthesized two new orange iridium complexes and characterized with orange emissions at 577/570 nm, respectively. |
