In this study, we prepared glass-ceramics nanocomposites using waste glass, fly ash, and TiO2 nanoparticles and evaluated the physical properties (the compressive strength and bending strength) and photocatalytic activity for methyl orange (MO), acetaldehyde (ATA), 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), and methylene blue (MB). The glass-ceramics TiO2 nanocomposites was prepared using the mechanical milling method and thermal reaction. The characteristics of the glass-ceramics TiO2 nanocomposites were evaluated by using the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) methods. From the results, it could be found that addition of TiO2 nanoparticles significantly improved the physical properties of the specimens. In addition, It was found that the prepared glass-ceramics TiO2 nanocomposites had a good photocatalytic degradability for photodegradation targets. |
