Synthesis of polycarbonates using CO2 as monomer is a progressive field because CO2 is inexpensive, nontoxic and abundant. In this study, a new type of double metal cyanide catalyst is used for synthesis for getting better polycarbonate’s yield and performance. Especially, we are improved the activity of catalyst about 24,000 TOF value, despite of heterogeneous catalysts. The influence of the temperature on the yield, carbonate content, molecular weight was discussed. The resultant copolymers are subjected to nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared spectroscopies and gel permeation chromatography analysis. |
