In this study, the adsorption characteristics of DMMP gas were investigated by loading SnO2 nanoparticles on activated carbon fibers(ACFs). The ACFs was prepared by steam activation of PAN-based carbon fiber. SnO2 nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis method. Formation of manufactured SnO2 nanoparticle crystals were observed by SEM and EDS. Also from XRD results, the crystal sizes of SnO2 nanoparticles were calculated using Scherrer equation. DMMP adsorption test of the ACFs loaded SnO2 were carried out using GC and the breakthrough curve was derived using the exit concentration of the column. As a result of the adsorption test, it is expected that the physical adsorption due to the porous structure of the ACFs and the chemical adsorption on the surface of the loaded SnO2 occur at the same time and have a synergistic effect.
