제목 Crystallization Behavior of Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS)/Graphite Composites
초록 The properties of a semicrystalline polymer, such as PPS, depend on crystalline structure and the degree of crystallinity of the polymer. Therefore, a systematic study of the influence of concentration of graphite on crystallization kinetics and structural morphology is essential to the understanding of how processing conditions influence the final properties of the composites. Crystallization of neat PPS and PPS/graphite composites were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) as function of graphite concentration. The overall rate of bulk crystallization phenomena was described by the Avrami equation with exponent n=2. Graphites slightly affect the overall crystal growth mechanism of the composite matrix characterized by lower values of the Avrami exponent and the crystallization half-times were decreased as increased graphite concentration. The graphite filled PPS composites exhibited increasing degree of crystallinity with increasing crystallization temperature.
