제목 Surface Modification and Dipsersion Stability of  Inorganic Nanosparticles  
초록 To obtain a high degree of dispersion in the hybrid matrix without any voids or cavities both within the matrix and in the interfacial region between nanoparticles and hybrid matrix, we carried out the chemical modification of the surface of titania nanoparticles by using diethyl 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl phosphonate (TMSP), synthesized by the Michaelis-Arbuzov reaction of chloropropyltrimethoxysilane (CPTMS) with 3-triethyl phosphate (TEP). The aggregation of titania nanoparticles was effectively prevented by the modification of the chemical nature of their surfaces. The dispersion stability and aggregation behavior of ceramic nanoparticles were monitored by various characterization techniques. The successful intercalation of TMSP onto the surfaces of nanoparticles was confirmed by the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) data of the TMSP-modified titania nanoparticles.
