Electrical characterization of charging effect in Au nanoparticle memory device |

Gold nanoparticle(Au-NP) has been studied intensively because of its attractive property of bi-stability with charging effect for new fabrication of organic memory device. In this study, electrical performance of organic Au-NPs memory device using new bonding or gluing of Au-NPs and organic active layer has been reported. SiNx or hybrid organic and inorganic compound layers were prepared as gate dielectric on silicon wafer. Au NPs coated with binding chemicals were used as charge storage elements on a APTES as a gluing layer.For new gluing method, citrate or GPTMS were coated on the Au NPs. Organic semiconductor active layer deposited on the Au-NPs and Au electrodes were evaporated. Electrical property of the memory device was investigated by C-V measurement and hysteresis. |
