Increasing attention is being paid to various nanocrystal composites (e.g., CdE/polymer where E is S, Se, Te) because of their potential importance as nonlinear optical materials and quantum size effect semiconductors. In this work, CdSe/polystyrene hybrid particles were synthesized via surfactant-free polymerization with a pickering emulsifier and their physical characteristics were examined. The nano-CdSe/PS composites had successfully synthesized in aqueous solution at room temperature under atmospheric pressure. |
