Enhancement of membrane selectivity in facilitated olefin transport membrane for olefin/paraffin separation |
초록 |
Membrane process has been widely investigated among separation technologies for its energy- and cost-saving technology and compact system for wide application field. Especially, facilitated transport membrane using olefin carrier, which can reversibly interact with olefin selectively, shown good performance in the separation of olefin/paraffin mixtures. We have reported that the composite membrane comprising PVP/Ag NPs/TCNQ can show extremely high selectivity when the surface–activated Ag NPs by TCNQ can act as an olefin carrier. Herein, the selectivity of the membrane has been maximized for each process in preparation composite membrane. Moreover, the effects of the heat treatment are investigated to improve the olefin carrier activities and consequently the separation performance for olefin/paraffin mixtures. |
