The controlled/"living" radical polymerization of 3-azidopropyl methacrylate(AzPMA) using the atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) with CuBr/N,N,N',N'',N''-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine catalytic system and acetone as the solvent generated well-defined polymers with low polydispersities Mw/Mn ≤ 1.5. Azido-containing copolymers were polymerized vis ATRP with good control, too. Azido-containing copolymers consist of methyl (meth)acrylate and poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate(PEGMA). The results were analyzed by 1H-NMR, FT-IR and SEC. |
