Silicon has been known as the next generation active material for Li-ion battery anode due to its high-specific capacity and low reaction voltage. However, Si has problems with large volume expansion & pulverization, causing loose electrical pathway and fast decay in cyclability. Development of new polymeric binder which has high mechanical strength and conductive site has drawn interest in this regard. Here we report a novel polymer binder based on poly(aniline-co-anthranilic acid) copolymer, which has electrical conducting pathway and carboxylic acid functional group. It also can provide high stability for silicon anode even at its high mass loading. Synthesis scheme, characterization and electrical performances will be detailed. |
