In order to obtain desired physical properties in metal-organic frameworks, many works have been focused on the change of the porous characteristics such as size, surface functionality, and shape. Especially, understanding interrelation between size of functional groups and porous characteristics is one of key issues. Here, we studied the influence of size-limit of functional group on porous characteristics in the MOFs by rational design of organic molecular linker with various lengths of flexible side-chains. We introduced flexible functional group, oxyethylene groups with various length on benzenedicarboxylic acid. Mettallopolymers, Zn4O(RO-BDC)3 were synthesized by solvothermal reactions.
