제목 Novel detection method of nucleic acid for nanobiosensor application
초록 In our study, we investigate a novel method for the detection of DNA on a microfluidic platform. Although there are many methods to detect DNA such as using electrophoresis, immunoassay, and electrochemical detection, the advantage of the proposed method lies in the use of colorimetric assay. The colorimetric assay proposed in this study is based on the color change of gold nanoparticles (Au-NP) upon aggregation, because the Au-NP can have versatile colors such as red, purple and blue, depending on their sizes. The proposed detection method could further be integrated with other functional units to realize a biosensor platform applicable for medical diagnostics and microbial detections.
