Synthesis of Cupric Oxide nanowire structure for H2S gas sensor |

Open space CuO nanowire structure was fabricated by several processes, which are the deposition of a copper layer on a SWCNT template and the oxidation. SWCNT template was deposited on the Al2O3 substrate by the arc discharge methode. The Cu nanowires on the single wall carbon nanotube templates were annealed at the temperature range from 400℃ to 800 ℃ for 2 hours. The morphology and properties of CuO nanowires are measured by FESEM, Raman spectroscopy, X-Ray diffraction (XRD), and current-voltage measurements. The measurement of the sensing properties practice in dry air and in H2S atmosphere. The sensitivity were measured at various temperatures. The CuO nanowires annealed at 800 ℃ at operating temperature 150 ℃ measured best sensitivity. It reached 961.25% of sensivity with 5 ppm of H2S gas. |
