Recently electromagnetic interference shielding composites using metal based fiber or films has been attracted attention. However, due to the demand for lower density and facility costs, non-metalic conductor such as carbon fiber could be used for Electromagnetic interference shielding material. In this study, a series of carbon nanotube (CNT) coated carbon fabrics was fabricated with dip coating process, and their thermal, electromagnetic, and mechanical performance was investigated. Morphology of CNT coating was observed with SEM. Electrical conductivity of the composites were 0.625 W/mK. maximum EMI shielding effectiveness of the sample is 68 dB with two layers of coated carbon fiber sheet. |
