Multifunctional Ionomeric Polymer Actuator for Steerable Catheterization in Endovascular Treatment |
초록 |
Recently, ionic polymer actuators have been highlighted as one of the electro-active polymer actuators for minimally invasive active catheter, because of its large deformation and low driving voltage requirement. We fabricated micro-tubular IPMC having multi-directional bending motions, which could be capable of navigating along blood vessels under remote electric control from outside, as well as achieving thrombolytic effect in endovascular treatment. By using quadrant electrode ofactuators and controlling dimension and geometry, the catheter with state-of-the-art architectures exhibited the suitable guiding capability and thrombolytic effect when applied to a continuous-flow phantom model. |
