Solid lipid microparticles (SLM) incoporating calcium chloride were prepared and characterized for temperature-sensitive drug carrier. Firstly, the molton stearic acid mixed with CaCl2 dispered in 65% span 80 and 35% tween 80 was poured to pre-heated tween 20 solution (0.5%, w/v). After stirring for 10min, the emulsion was put into ice bath to solidify with stirring for 5min to obtain SLM. The incorporating degree of CaCl2 in SLM was determined by calsium ion-selective electrode. The size of SLM studied on microscopy was 50~100 μm. The release of calcium, was highly affected by different temperature. This might due to the melt point of stearic acid. |
