Aceclofanac (ACE) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) analog of Diclofenac. It is used for the relief of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. ACE was prepared as a spray dry method and rotary evaporation to increase it solubility. Characterizations of the on prepared spray dry method of ACE and rotary evaporation method of ACE were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), x-ray diffractometer (XRD) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The in vitro drug release behavior of were also evaluated in intestinal juice (pH 6.8). This study suggests the solid dispersion with the spray dry and the rotary evaporation can be a suitable design for controlled release of ACE.
