Thermal barrierproperty of Urethane acrylate/clay Nanocomposites |

In the past decades, polymer nanocomposites have been interested to be the most potential hybrid-organic materials. Particularly, Polymer/clay nanocomposites usually exhibit enhanced properties when compared to pure polymer such as mechanical and barrier properties, thermal stability. The objective of this study was to observe the improved barrier performance for heat result from tortuous diffusion path. In this work, we prepared UV curable nanoclay-based polymer matrix films with different content of clay. These composites were analyzed using XRD, Thermal conductivity meter. X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that the clay were intercalated or exfoliated into urethane acrylate matrix. A thermal conductivity meter was used to measure the thermal conductivity of multi layer materials. As the clay concentration increases, it is showed that the decreasing thermal conductivity. |
