Preparation of Polyurea Nanocapsules by Interfacial Polycondensation |

Nanocapsule could be used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, adhesives, and medical applications. Polyurea nanocapsules were prepared by interfacial polycondensation of isophoron diisocyanate and ethylene diamine. Carvone was used as a core material and polyethylene dioleate was used as a emulsifier. The spherical nanocapsules were obtained in the size range of 100-200 nm. The effect of emulsifier concentration on the average particle size and distribution were investigated. The prepared nanocapsules were characterized using UV spectrometer, IR spectrometer, SEM, TGA, and particle size analyzer. Release behavior of the nanocapsules were also investigated using UV spectrometer at 319 nm. |
