In this work, we developed novel multiple resonance type ultrapure organic emitter without using boron atom. The newly synthesized emitter, 2,5,13,16-tetra-tert-butylindolo[3,2,1-jk]indolo[1′,2′,3′:1,7]-indolo[2,3-b]carbazole (tDIDCz) showed very small stokes shift of 3 nm and narrow emission of full-width-at-half-maximum (FWHM) with 20 nm in photophysical measurement. In device, tDIDCz device showed 2.75% of external quantum efficiency, 402 nm emission, and narrow FWHM of 14 nm. This work is the world’s first research to develop the ultrapure violet organic light-emitting diodes. |
