제목 Immobilization of bisphosphonates on the titanium surfaces and their interaction with bone cells
초록 The purpose of this study is to modify the surface of titianium with pamidronate and examine the effect of immobilized pamidronate on the behavior of osteoblastic and osteoclastic cells. Pamidronate (PDA) was immobilized on the surface of titanium disc with nanotube structure(Ti-N). PDA was immobilized on the surface of Ti-N discs in two ways. First way is to immobilize PDA covalently on the surface of Ti-N disc through coupling agent, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (Ti-N-P). Second one is to immobilize PDA on the surface of Ti-N disc in the manner of hydrogen bonding (Ti-N-hP). The surface characteristics of Ti-N-P and Ti-N-hP were examined and compared with Ti-N and Ti disc (alone). The potentiality of PDA-immobilized Ti-N discs for use as bone substitutes were assessed by culturing MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts on the discs.
