제목 Facile Li+ ion transport and superior thermal stability of polydopamine-encapsulated graphite anodes for Li-ion batteries
초록  Polydopamine (PD) coating is demonstrated to enhance Li+ ion transport kinetics and thermal stability of graphite anode for Li-ion batteries. Commercial grade graphite electrodes are successfully coated with nano-scale PD layer by simple dip-coating process. PD-coated graphite electrodes exhibit increased initial reversible capacity and improved rate capability at both lithiation and de-lithiation processes. The superior power performance of PD-coated graphite is ascribed to the reduced activation energy for the interfacial Li+ transfer reaction, as evidenced by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. In addition, PD-coated graphite show improved cycle performance at 60 oC, which is attributed to suppressed thermal degradation of the graphite/electrolyte interface by PD coating.
