제목 | Synthesis and characterization of Ni/Pt composite nanoparticles using wire electrical explosion in Pt solution |
초록 | The most common use of platinum (Pt) is as a catalyst in chemical reactions and its most important application is in automobiles as a catalytic converter, which allows the complete combustion of low concentrations of unburned hydrocarbon from the exhaust into carbon dioxide and water vapor. However, platinum is an extremely rare metal and therefore, many researchers have tried to reduce amount of platinum with keeping CO2 conversion efficiency or improve the CO2 conversion efficiency. Among them, a reduction of the mass of Pt has been studied through mixing with other elements or synthesizing composite particles of various structures such as solid solution type, precipitation type, satellite type and core-shell type. In recent, wire electrical explosion (WEE) method has been used to produce metallic nanoparticles. WEE method is a physical method and is effective in producing composite nanoparticles by modifying wire and atmosphere of explosion chamber. In this study, we tried to synthesize Ni/Pt composite nanoparticles using wire electrical explosion process that include explosion of Ni wire in Pt solution. The objective of the present study is to investigate the structure, size, and morphology of the Ni/Pt nanoparticles produced. |
