제목 Nitrogen-Doped Graphene Quantum Dots Incorporated SnO2 Nanotubes for Efficient Ammonia Gas Sensor
초록 The ammonia gas detection at low concentrations is of significant interest owing to its toxicity and harmful effects on human health and environment. Highly sensitive ammonia gas sensors are extremely important in petrochemical, chemical, and petroleum industries, which are prone to accidents and cause the air pollution. In this study we fabricated an efficient ammonia gas sensing device by using nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (NGQDs) incorporated SnO2 nanotubes. The sensing performance of the device is sensitive to the NGQDs concentration, as it allows the tailoring of SnO2 nanotube morphology. The 3 wt% NGQDs incorporated SnO2 nanotubes displayed higher sensitivity, fast response/recovery time, and good selectivity towards ammonia gas compared to pure and 5 wt% NGQDs incorporated SnO2 nanotubes. With the incorporation of 3 wt% NGQDs, the SnO2 nanotubes response to 50 ppm ammonia gas increased from 63.2% to 88.15%.
