Electrostatic Fabrication of Ultrafine Fiber Webs of Poly(ethylene oxide) containing Anti-Inflammatory Drugs |

In this work, PEO ultrafine fiber webs containing indomethacin were fabricated by an electrospinning. The resultant diameter distribution of the fiber webs were evaluated by SEM. The presence of indomethacin was confirmed by FT-IR spectra. The release behaviors of indomethacin were examined by an UV/vis spectroscopy. From the results, the fiber webs diameter was found that the average diameter of PEO fiber webs was around 3500 nm. The indomethacin's release behaviors of the fiber webs were found that the preparation of the fiber webs was one of useful methods for the control of cumulative release of effective core materials in the biodegradable fiber webs. |
