Preparation and Characterization of Electrospun PAN/TiO2 Nanocomposite Fibers |

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) was one of the most actively studied materials for a variety of applications. In this work, the polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/TiO2 solutions were electrospun and made as webs consisting of nanocomposite fibers, which were used to produce a series of carbon nanofibers with high electrical conductivity through stabilization and carbonization processes. The surface characteristics of PAN/TiO2 based carbon nanocomposite fibers were studied by FT-IR and XRD. Morphology and TiO2 particles distribution of the nanocomposite fibers were observed by SEM. The electrical conductivity behaviors of the nanocomposite fibers were evaluated by a volume resistivity tester. |
