In this work, the PEO-embedded polyacrylonitrile(PAN) solutions in N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF) were electrospun to be webs consisting of nanofibers, which were used to produce a series of carbon nanofibers with developed high surface area with highly porous structures through stabilization and carbonization processes. The surface characteristics of PEO/PAN-based carbon nanofiber webs were evaluated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction measurements(XRD). Morphologies and distributions of the nanofiber webs were studied by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electron microscope analyses(TEM). The electrochemical behaviors of the nanofiber webs were discussed by cyclic voltammetry(CV) and AC impedance tests. |
