제목 The effect of boron nitride types on the thermal conductivity in polypropylene composite
초록 The effects of boron nitride type on thermal conductivity in two-phase composite system were investigated. Thermally conductive boron nitride filled in polypropylene composites were prepared by hot press and thermal diffusivity was measured by laser-flash method. Filler dispersions were examined by SEM and they were related to the thermal conductivities of composites. The soft small agglomerated boron nitride was easily broken by high shear force of mixer and consequently well dispersed in the polymer matrix. Hard small agglomerated boron nitrides were difficult to form a network structure and showed lower thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity values of soft and hard small agglomerated boron nitride were 1.3 W/mk and 0.7 W/mK at 40 vol%.
