In recent years, there has been a growing interest on the incorporation functional nanomaterials in the polymer matrix due to their unique promising properties and applications. Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/gelatin/TiO2 composite nanofibers were successfully prepared via electrospinning. In this work, We performed a series of experiments varying processing parameters, including concentration of PVA solution, PVA/gelatin bland ratios, applied voltage, tip-to-collector distance(TCD) and TiO2 contents. The effect of the TiO2 contents on the morphology of the PVA/gelatin/TiO2 composite nanofibers were investigated. By increasing the amount of TiO2 in spinning solution, the morphology changed from fine uniform fibers to beaded fiber or bead-on-string fiber structure.
