In this study, we report a new method for synthesizing tannylated-calcium carbonate (TA/CaCO3) materials with antiacid and anti-oxidant effects. The synthesis of TA/CaCO3 materials was confirmed with FT-IR, SEM and EDX analyses. The prepared TA/CaCO3 materials showed 5~6 μm size which clustered with small sized TA/CaCO3 nanoparticles. When TA/CaCO3 materials were added to simulated gastric fluid without enzyme (pH 1.5~2), the yellow color of simulated gastric fluid was changed to greenish blue, indicating that TA/CaCO3 materials have antiacid effect. Also, we demontrated that TA-CaCO3 materials have anti-oxidant property by showing the color change of DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl-hydrate) solution from purple to yellow. |
