The blends of Poly lactic acid (PLA) with poly (butylenes succinate) (PBS) ionomer containing ion-group of 3 mol% were prepared by melt-blending, and their thermal, mechanical, rheological properties, morphology, and crystallization behavior were compared with PLA/PBS blends. The ratios of PBS ionomer to PLA were 5, 10, 20, 30 wt%. The DSC, DMA, SEM analysis showed that all the PLA/PBS ionomer blends were partially miscible blends. The crystallinity, crystallization rate and elongation of PLA/PBS ionomer blends were increased by adding PBS ionomer. |
