Thermoelectric power can be expressed in the terms of seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. To accomplish high efficiency when converting thermal energy to electrical energy, it is important to achieve high seebeck coefficient, high electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity. However, the electrical conductivity tends to be inverse-proportional to the seebeck coefficient, while it seems to be proportional to the thermal conductivity. In this study, we introduced an electrospinning process to fabricate a nano-fibrous perovskite structure, expecting the structure to decouple those coefficients and optimize the conversion efficiency. We tried to fabricate the strontium titanate nanofiber via electrospinning process. Here, the electrospinning process elongates the sol solution into nanofibers, and the pyrolysis and sintering process helps the nanofibers to form a perovskite crystalline structure. |
