Influence of regenerated PU on mechanical properties and thermal stability of PP during multiple processing cycles |

Abstract: The work mainly introduced the recyclability of polypropylene (PP) modification by regenerated polyurethane (PU), obtained after partial thermochemical decomposition of waste PU. The influence of regenerated PU on mechanical properties and thermal stability of PP during multiple processing cycles was evaluated by universal testing machine (UTM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). The data showed that the modified PP with different content of regenerated PU exhibited different change in mechanical properties with the number of processing cycle, whereas the modified PP with different content of regenerated PU did not exhibit obvious difference in thermal stability with the number of processing cycle. |
